I've used 1 & 1 for hosting my sites for the last 2 years or so, they are very easy for beginners to start with and enough functions to progress your level. Quite cheap too.

I buy pretty much buy all my DVD's, CD's, electrical goods and lots of other stuff from Amazon as it's generally the cheapest shop around and has a good review system to help with purchases. I use it enough to warrant paying a yearly fee for prime membership to get free next day delivery

I use Lovefilm for my movie rentals, I pay about £3.99 for 2 rentals a month. Good if you want to avoid late fees and get cheap rentals. You get the DVD sent in the post and send it back freepost once you've watched it and the next one gets sent, no time limits, different packages available if you watch more than 2 DVD's a month.

Pricey, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. My partner has a pair and loves them.

I love Skype who provide video calls from your PC/laptop for free. It's free and easy to install and makes keeping in contact easier and more fun
